Songs to Sing on NBC The Voice

With NBC starting with the talent show "The Voice" soon, we will give you some examples of what songs to sing for the contestants to be successful on the show. This is all based on the extremely popular talent show The Voice of Holland, by producer John de Mol. We will show you some of the songs from that show that have been the most popular amongst the audience and were downloaded most on ITunes and had in some cases millions of viewers on YouTube.

The most popular singer on that show (The Voice of Holland) was tattoo artist Ben Saunders, born in the UK, but living in Holland since he was 2 years old. Saunders entered the show with what by some international media was called "the best audition ever." He sang a Kings of Leon song called Use Somebody, and you can see it below.

Saunders became a total hype in the Netherlands and while the show was still running and the winner wasn't known yet, he scored 3 number 1 hits. One of those was "When a Man loves a Woman" originally performed by Percy Sledge. The song became a number 1 overnight and hit all newspapers because Saunders pulled a beautiful blond from the audience and started kissing her at the end of the song. You can watch the video below, including the "kissing incident."

Singing those songs on an audition made Saunders a superstar in The Netherlands. Yet another contestant performed some songs which the whole country is still talking about: Kim de Boer, who ended up on the third place of the competition. Her performance of Roxanne even started a wave of tweets on Twitter to get her to perform with Sting, as Kim de Boer's version is absolutely stunning. You can watch a video below of her performance in a stadium in front of thousands of people.

These are just a few songs to sing on a talent show or audition which, if performed well, will definitely be able to impress any audience or judge. With NBC starting soon with the "NBC The Voice" contest, a lot of artists auditioning might take the above songs into consideration. He has proven that when you sing a song very well, it can make you famous overnight.
